Memories ~ Then & Now has been serving the local communities for the past 12 years. So, if you haven't been in the shop in a while or if you've never been in at all, it's time to check it out.

I opened my shop in its present capacity because:

• I have for years been asked to teach classes in various arts and crafts.
• I have always been interested in the history of my family and have developed an interest in Billings.
• I wanted a place to showcase my husband’s work.
• I love to have a good time with my friends as well as making new ones.

The Creativity Classes that I hope to be offering again in the Spring of 2014 include but are not going to be limited to:

If there is something you would like to learn how to do, just ask and I will try to find someone to teach you. I am always looking for instructors so if you would like to teach a specific class, you can contact me to make the arrangements.

At Memories I do a variety of things in addition to the Creativity Classes. I have been doing my own family’s Genealogy Research for years so I enjoy helping others find a missing link to their family’s past. I will do research for you or I will assist you in your own search utilizing my many online memberships.

In addition to Genealogy Research or as a stand-alone project, I also do Cemetery Research and Photography. I am amazed at how peaceful it can be walking through a cemetery looking for someone’s final resting place.

Another one of my interests is the history of the town I live in - Billings, MO - especially since I own one of the oldest buildings left intact within the business area.  I have been collecting memorabilia for quite some time.  I don’t have a large collection but I do have some very unique items as well as a slide show of photographs.

Not only do I offer things of my own creation or interests, but my husband builds custom furniture and cabinetry.  He can build anything you need from a toilet paper holder to an entire house but cabinetry and furniture are his chosen specialties.  All he needs is a picture and he can create a masterpiece of heirloom quality.  For more information and pictures of his work, go to “Yours By Design”.
